About the Artist.

Allison Denny was born in Independence, KY. She graduated from Western Kentucky University, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and a Bachelor of Arts in Ceramics. Her work explores different aspects of the human condition, such as mental illness and interconnection with others. She has participated in exhibitions at the Kentucky Museum, Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center, Ellis Walker Gallery, and Prairie Center for the Arts. She completed three internship tours at Sculpture Trails Outdoor Museum in 2018, 2019 and 2021, learning the process of iron casting, assisting artists during workshops and maintaining the museum grounds. She was the sculpture studio lab technician for one and a half years at Western Kentucky University. Allison is currently an artist with The FEmale Foundry, helping to support emerging and established artists interested in working in industrial mediums. Her goal is to pursue a Master of Fine Arts further exploring cross-disciplinary mediums.
